本公司係美國惠氏藥廠在台之子公司。惠氏公司為一多角化經營的國際性企業，在藥品與營養品等領域居全球領導地位。

一九九四年該公司購併美國氰胺公司，除積極拓展原有產品外更增加農業、動植物等產品項目，使其行銷網遍佈於全球達一百四十五個國家及地區，成為年營業額超過美金一百四十億元之跨國性企業。此項購併作業使美國家庭用品公司之在台機構擴增為美商惠氏藥廠(亞洲)股份有限公司臺灣分公司Wyeth-Ayerst (Asia)Ltd., Taiwan Branch、臺灣惠氏股份有限公司Wyeth Taiwan Corporation、及富道動物藥品股份有限公司Fort Dodge Animal Health Taiwan Ltd，目前在台機構年營業額約為新台幣四十億元。
